On 2 February, a European musical exchange will be launched at the Italian Culture Institute in Stockholm, on the initiative of several organizations. DoubleDouble – Face the Music of 2010 is the heading of a year-long festival dedicated to contemporary music from Sweden, Italy, France and Germany. Each participating country will present several musical self-portraits in cooperation with native ensembles.

All concerts during DoubleDouble will be transmitted by Swedish Radio P2. The first concert on February 11th will feature the music of French composer Philippe Hurel.
- The scope of DoubleDouble is larger than the festival itself: we hope to create a platform for contemporary music, a meeting point transcending the borders of nationality and genre, states Stina Westerberg, as an explanation of the subtitle Face the Music of 2010.
