A meeting between the trio Jan Allan-Bengt Hallberg-Georg Riedel and the string quartet The Gotland Quartet inspired the composers Hallberg and Riedel to write this mixture of music genres, which the critics paid much attention to when first released on LP.
The music was composed directly for the string quartet and Trio Con Tromba.
