Knut Sönstevold is an extremely versatile bassoon player.
He has devoted more than thirty years of his life towards playing the bassoon in symphony orchestras. Alongside he has performed chamber music with among others the Stockholm Philharmonic Wind Quintet and the Stockholm Wind Quintet. As a soloist he has through the years had a fruitful collaboration with many composers of his time. The result of this is presented on this cd where all of the works except Börtz’ Concerto are dedicated to Knut Sönstevold. |
