Jeverud, Johan
Johan Jeverud was born in 1962. He went to Södra Latin’s musical high school, and then to the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Jeverud has an extensive catalogue of works, mainly consisting of instrumental music, from pieces for solo instruments to orchestral works.
He started to compose ”modern” music which in the compositorial context entails writing the sort of music that the ”establishment” writes.
Today Jeverud connects to an older tradition with harmony, melody and rhythm as characteristic features.
